What We Believe

As United Methodists we practice a very open theology; we believe in a personal God who accepts all as children of God. We believe there are many approaches to a genuine connection with the Divine and for us Jesus Christ is a worthy example of that ultimate Divine Connection. It is the teachings and the examples of love, non-violence, inclusiveness and compassion which Jesus demonstrated that guide our daily walk. Our roots reach back more than 200 years to John Wesley, who is quoted as having said “think and let think” and we still follow that admonition to this day. If you like to be challenged; if you consider yourself spiritual, but not religious; if you think all churches are alike-think again. Join us on Sunday mornings where we think questions are a good thing and we have the faith to doubt.
